Crafty Goals Update

I thought I'd give an update on my Crafty Goals.

Items for my Etsy site completed:

Serger:
Out of it's box and on the crafty table but still no idea how to use it.

Embroidery Machine:
Out of it's box
Threaded (bobbin and top thread)
Instructions glanced at
A few text message to a fellow crafty girl
And this is what I ended up with

At first glance it doesn't look to terrible...you can tell it's a "5"...I have the stabilizers layered correctly...yes, the machine skipped a little and the "5" isn't perfect..but all in all not too bad for my first attempt.

That is until you take the hoop off and actually look at the shirt.

Yep, that's the back of the shirt...with the back of the "5"...yep, I stitched the front of the shirt to the back.

And what is that in the middle???

Why it's the hoop...I made an embroidery sandwich...
