5 Things On Friday That Make Me Smile
1. Tomorrow me and 35,000 of my closet friends will be running 13.1 miles through downtown Indy. It's the first race of the season and I'm starting to get excited. Right now the forecast is for rain so we are keeping our fingers crossed that the thunder and lightening stay away!
2. This weekend is Mother's Day and here in Indy that means it's plantin' time!!! We are so excited to get all our veggies and herbs in the ground and to use our new garden markers.
3. Pretzel bagels are back at Einstein!!! I seriously had tears of joy when I hear the news...and just in time for carb-loading (see #1). When they took them off the menu a few months ago I was so distraught that the guy working at Einstein gave me the number to their corporate office to "encourage" them to bring them back! I guess my campaign was successful!!!
4. My fascinator has arrived and I LOVE it!!! I have a great benefit next weekend for the Megan S. Ott Foundation. It's the perfect place for it's "debut."
5. My wonderful neighbor came by last night and planted these for me! Such a great way to welcome spring and so very thoughtful!

Good Friends and Baby Cuddles
Please meet my new boyfriend! Lil' Q! I finally got to meet him and I am totally and completely smitten!
I was able to sneak away to Raleigh this past weekend for a visit with Q and his Mama Aly. So much fun!
And you know I didn't show up without something cute and crafty for my new BF!
Check out these cute onsies I made with freezer paper stencils.
Every little boy needs a Star Wars T-shirt.
Lil' Q is named after his daddy and three daddy's before him so he is a 5th!
(Get it? It's the Roman numeral for 5...hee...hee...I LOVE it!)
While I was there I got to check out the Raleigh Flea Market. So very cool. There were so many things that I wanted to take with me, but clearly wouldn't fit on an airplane. I took pictures of some of my favorites to share with you.
There were a lot of random odds n' ends. I wanted to take a can of spray paint to so many things.
You know about my love/hate relationship with Diet Coke...I REALLY wanted these!
This was hands down my FAVORITE thing we found. It's a double pram. Definitely a collectors item. The seats were wooden and there were even little belts to keep the little ones safe.
This carriage was great too and in almost perfect condition.
What crafty girl wouldn't want this in her house???
Ironing must take FOR-EVER with this ironing board!
The man said this tricycle was over 70 years old.
Always remember to wear you antique top hat when selling antiques.

It was a perfect weekend catching up with a dear friend and getting lots of new baby snuggles!
The best part of my weekend???
Coming home and finding this waiting for me:
It always feels good to know you've been missed!!!

Great Deal For YOU today!!!!
TODAY!
Last month I was given an opportunity to order a few free products and review their website, providing feedback, helping them detect any "bugs" or problems with the website.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their products!!!
Their customer service is also outstanding! I had some trouble with my codes and they contacted me immediately. I also received a handwritten thank-you note with this adorable necklace attached.
One of the products I chose was the Poloroid Heart. It's 27 individual pictures shaped into a heart on a canvas poster. It comes in two sizes, 20 x 13 and 20 x 30 and it sticks directly onto the wall. It's such a wonderful and unique piece of art.
Another product I love is their recipe cards and books. They make such great gifts!
And how sweet is this poster?
This ABC book is a perfect gift for the new baby in your life!
Today the site is launching and they have a great deal to celebrate!
Have fun creating! The hardest part will be deciding what you're going to make!!!

Crafty For A Cause
Awhile back I shared with you the great thing Pink Fig Designs was doing for the children of Japan who were effected by the Tsunami and earthquake. I was so inspired that I hosted a crafty night at my house where we would make the Chloe and Mieko shirts.
No crafty night is complete without yummy snacks and wine
The machines are ready to go!
I was the official "iron-on-er"
Yay our first shirt is done!!!
We spent a lot of time making these adorable little faces.
By the end of the night we had surpassed our goal of 10 shirts with 13 shirts done.
It warms my heart knowing that there soon will be a little girl in Japan wearing one of our shirts!
BIG THANKS TO ANABELA, BROOKE, COURTNEY, ERIN AND KATHLEEN-YOU LADIES ROCK!!!

Broiled Parmesan Tilapia
This is on of my most favorite fish recipes. I'm pretty much the only one in my house that will eat fish so I adjust the amounts for a meal-for-one (you can also go to the original recipe at All Recipes and use their fancy serving calculator to readjust the ingredients).
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup grated/shredded parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup softened butter
- 3T mayo
- 2T lemon juice
- 1/4t dried basil
- 1/4t ground black pepper
- 1/8t onion powder
- 1/8t celery salt
- 2 pounds tilapia
Directions:
- Preheat broiler. Grease broiler pan or line baking sheet with foil.
- In a small bowl combine parmesan cheese, butter, mayo, lemon juice, and seasonings. Mix well and set aside.
- Arrange filets in a single layer. Broil fish a few inches from the heat for 2-3 minutes. Flip fillets over and broil for a couple more minutes. Remove from the oven and cover fish with the parmesan mixture. Broil for a few more minutes or until top is brown and fish flakes easily with a fork. Be careful no to over cook!
Mmmmmm....De-lish!!

It could quite possibly be the coolest thing ever and with Mother's Day coming up it's the perfect gift to tell Mom how much you appreciate all she has done for you.
The concept is simple. You "adopt" an olive tree in Italy and then receive the oil from your tree.
