Pick Your Plum

I'm going to share a little secret with you. It's a wonderful website that I just learned about with daily deals for the crafties. It's called Pick Your Plum and it's A-MAZ-ING! Each day they post a great crafty or home decoration inspired deal, usually for about 50% off the regular price. The catch? There are limited quantities so you have to "get it before your neighbor does." You pay for shipping, but that is reasonable too.

So what kind of wonderful things can you find???

How about these beautiful iron flowers. They were 3 for only $8!
To celebrate their birthday last month they were offering a fantastic deal of 3 sheets of vinyl for $0.25!!!
I received these fabulous iron knobs for my birthday from my equally fabulous neighbor, and I them!!!
Another recent deal, ric-rac... $0.15/yard!!! WOW!
New deals are posted daily at 7am, MST so check in early because the good deals go fast!

Great Deal For YOU today!!!!

I have a GREAT deal to share with you!!! You MUST check out Paper Coterie!
TODAY!

Last month I was given an opportunity to order a few free products and review their website, providing feedback, helping them detect any "bugs" or problems with the website.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their products!!!

Their customer service is also outstanding! I had some trouble with my codes and they contacted me immediately. I also received a handwritten thank-you note with this adorable necklace attached.

One of the products I chose was the Poloroid Heart. It's 27 individual pictures shaped into a heart on a canvas poster. It comes in two sizes, 20 x 13 and 20 x 30 and it sticks directly onto the wall. It's such a wonderful and unique piece of art.

Another product I love is their recipe cards and books. They make such great gifts!
And how sweet is this poster?
This ABC book is a perfect gift for the new baby in your life!

Today the site is launching and they have a great deal to celebrate!

Enter OPENHOUSE at check out and receive $40 off your order!!! (They have extended the code through May 6th so you have a little more time to create your masterpiece)

Have fun creating! The hardest part will be deciding what you're going to make!!!

Christmas in March

When I woke up this morning I found these wonderful goodies waiting for me.
The hubby just returned from a week-long international trip and picked up some wonderful treats for me along the way.

Olive oil and wine from Italy-he knows the way to my

From England, a beautiful Harrods Laptop bag for my new computer. The inside pockets were filled with candy and chocolate. Luckily the girls got their own because I'm not sharing!
It's was like Santa paid me a visit last night!

Merry Christmas...I mean Happy Saturday!!!

Vintage Flower Farm

One of my latest obsessions is satin flower pins and hair clips. I pretty much wear them everyday and my favorites are from Vintage Flower Farm. Each handmade piece is unique and has a vintage brooch, pin or earring at the center. They are gorgeous!

Hands down this one is my favorite:

I just can't get over the vintage cameo in the center!

And this one:

So beautiful!

She also makes headbands, crocheted hats and even flowered dog collars.

But it's the newest item in her shop that has my crafty heart going pitter-patter...

Custom Vintage Flower Cake Toppers!

They are made to coordinate with the colors of your wedding and she will even incorporate special items into the piece. Wouldn't it be amazing to have your great-grandmother's vintage brooch in the center or have lace from your mother's wedding dress as part of the flower. An instant family heirloom that not only can be passed down but can be worn as a pin or hair clip after your wedding.

And really...it doesn't have to be on a wedding cake. Any crafty girl would love a birthday cake with one of these flowers on top! (hint...hint...)

Fashion Playtes

My house has finally been de-pinked and de-Barbied and I'm pretty sure my husband's blood pressure has finally normalized after having 22 little girls at our house Saturday night for a birthday party. I had hoped to have the pictures up today, but as you know we're "hanging on by a thread" here and sometimes life just gets in the way of our plans. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a long and quiet nap time today so I can download the pictures from my camera.

I wanted to share with you a great crafty gift idea that my daughter received. She got a gift certificate to a great website called Fashion Playtes. I had never heard of it before and what a great gift it was. Basically girls get to design their own clothes. You pick from a variety of items to start with and there is a lot to chose from...dresses, shirts, skirts, jeggings, accessories and even doll clothes. The girls get to pick the color of the item and can add things like rhinestones, embroidery, lace, tulle and ribbons. My 5-year-old had a blast and she can't wait for her dress and skirt to be delivered. She even got to design her own custom label.

It's a perfect gift for the crafty girl in your life and they go up to size 14 so it's great for tweens too!
